The Punisher: One Last Kill (2026)

I was trying to stop myself from seeing any spoilers for this but it was getting impossible with so much talk about it online so I had to dive in.

Once again Bernthal brings a level of animalistic brutality to The Punisher which is a bit OTT but still good to watch, there is very little of the strategic Punisher that I love from the comics in this outing for the Marvel TV anti-hero, but there is hope.

We join Frank as he has killed the last of the Gnucci family and is starting to fly apart as he now feels as though he has no purpose, he’s opened up a power vacuum and the streets are in mayhem (don’t watch if you don’t deal with dogs dying) and scum are running around unrestrained but he walks through it all oblivious.

This start part until we meet his catalyst is a bit too long for a 50 minute show and could have been condensed a touch as we know Frank has major PTSD and feelings of guilt, didn’t need over a quarter of the show to remind us.

Once the action kicks off it really kicks off, with the block of flats scene almost equaling the prison corridor, almost but not quite, still really enjoyable seeing thugs go up against a trained killing machine with rage issues on berserker mode.

There is a switch near the end from personal vendetta to saving someone other again, and it is this switch that was interesting, he laid down his personal target to save innocents (though I don’t think he will forget the personal target).

At the end we saw what really looked like the comic Punisher, still a killing machine but cleaner, sleeker, and much more focused than he has been until now.

Looking forward to seeing where this is going to go.
